THG Network (Aug. 1, 2017) — The Miss Culture Swimwear Contest, being held as part of Nevis’ 43rd Culturama Festival, is expected to garner much support from Nevisian and Kittitian communities.
This year, the committee has pitted two Nevis residents, Tereka Browne and Theola Vanterpool, against three St. Kitts resident, Stavena Lewis, Monique Hall and Kachiana Robin, much to the delight of the sister land, St. Kitts.
Another unique aspect of this year’s pageant is the combined wealth of experience of the contestants. Miss FLOW, Stavena Lewis entered the Miss Culture Swimwear Contest in 2013. Although she did not place in the top three, her well-toned body was the talk among many Culturama patrons.
Miss Clive Evelyn Construction Tereka Browne and Miss Carib Brewery Theola Vanterpool won the Miss Gingerama Pageant, in 2015 and 2016 respectively.
Miss FIT Wellness Center, Kachiana Robin, contested the National Carnival Swimsuit Competition in 2016.
The face of Miss Nevis Solid Waste Management Authority Monique Hall is probably the most fresh in people’s memories. In June, she contested the White Sands Swimsuit Competition on St. Kitts.
During a recent interview with THG Network, Sidama Jones of the organising committee revealed the segments for tonight’s pageant, noting that the contestants will make five appearances: Fanfare, Identical Swimwear sponsored by NHLDC, Birds of a Feather (one piece), Treasures of the Narrows (two piece), and Creative Swimwear.
The show is expected to commence at 8pm at the Nevis Cultural Complex.
